📋 Step-by-Step Guide (5 Steps)
Drill the Air Intake Port
Pull the plunger completely out of the syringe barrel. Measure approximately 1.5 cm down from the top open rim of the barrel and pierce a clean 3 mm hole through one side of the plastic wall using a drill bit or a heated needle held with pliers. Smooth away any plastic burrs inside and outside the hole.

Install the Air Intake Flap Valve
Cut a 1 cm square patch from a latex balloon or rubber sheet. Place this rubber patch flat over the drilled intake hole on the outer syringe wall. Secure only the top edge of the patch with electrical tape, leaving the bottom three edges loose so it functions as a one-way hinged flap.

Fit and Seal the Inflation Needle
Insert the threaded base of the metal sports inflation needle directly into the narrow front nozzle of the syringe. Apply a heavy bead of hot glue completely around the joint where the metal needle meets the plastic nozzle, ensuring an airtight seal.

- • Solid, gap-free ring of clear glue fully enclosing the needle base and nozzle interface
- • Gluing the needle at an angle, causing it to bend or snap during ball insertion

Lubricate and Insert the Plunger
Apply a thin, even coat of petroleum jelly around the black rubber seal of the syringe plunger. Slide the plunger back into the syringe barrel past the intake hole and stroke it up and down five times to distribute the lubricant across the inner cylinder wall.

Pressure Test and Inflate Ball
Moisten the inflation needle tip with water or saliva. Insert the needle straight into the rubber valve of your football until the shoulder rests against the ball surface. Pump the syringe handle firmly with steady, full-length strokes until the ball reaches the desired firmness.
