How to Make a DIY Football Air Pump

๐ Step-by-Step Guide (5 Steps)
Drill the Air Intake Port
Pull the plunger completely out of the syringe barrel. Measure approximately 1.5 cm down from the top open rim of the barrel and pierce a clean 3 mm hole through one side of the plastic wall using a drill bit or a heated needle held with pliers. Smooth away any plastic burrs inside and outside the hole.

Install the Air Intake Flap Valve
Cut a 1 cm square patch from a latex balloon or rubber sheet. Place this rubber patch flat over the drilled intake hole on the outer syringe wall. Secure only the top edge of the patch with electrical tape, leaving the bottom three edges loose so it functions as a one-way hinged flap.

Fit and Seal the Inflation Needle
