Isolate Power and Confirm Zero Voltage

Hold a non-contact voltage tester directly against the socket housing and interior metal to verify no electrical current is present. Position your flashlight so you have clear, hands-free illumination into the fixture cavity.

Clear Surrounding Glass Debris

Ensure the perimeter around the fixture base is clear before focusing on the stuck metal casing.

Grip and Counter-Rotate the Broken Base
Insert the tips of your needle-nose pliers into the center opening of the stuck metal bulb base. Rotate the pliers counterclockwise smoothly to unscrew the threaded base without crushing the socket walls.
