📋 Step-by-Step Guide (6 Steps)
Excavate Soil and Clear Vegetation
Dig out existing dirt and weeds to a depth of 3 to 4 inches below surrounding hardscapes or borders. Remove all tree roots, rocks, and loose organic debris. Rake the bare soil roughly level and tamp it down to establish a firm foundation.

Shovel 2.5 to 3 inches of crushed aggregate or decomposed granite evenly across the fabric. Use a landscaping rake to smooth the rock into a uniform, level layer.

Moisten and Compact the Sub-Base
