Map and Plumb Aperture Location
Set the laser plumb line directly in the center of the intended lower-floor elevator footprint. Project the laser dot onto the ceiling and verify there is adequate overhead clearance on the upper level without roof pitch interference. Mark the exact rectangular or circular cutout perimeter on both the ceiling drywall and the upper subfloor.

Shore Joists and Cut Structural Aperture

Slide the bottom dual guide rail sections onto the base plate, holding the 48-inch digital level against both faces to confirm absolute vertical plumb before torquing.

Assemble Upper Rails and Secure Aperture Collar
