📋 Step-by-Step Guide (6 Steps)
Position and Plumb Wall Profiles
Measure inward from the outer edge of your shower tray according to manufacturer offsets. Place the vertical wall profile against the wall, check plumb using a spirit level, and mark through the pre-drilled holes onto the tiles with a pencil.
- • Spirit level bubble centered alongside the vertical channel.
- • Even spacing lines visible between the tray lip and profile markings on both walls.
- • Aligning the profile flush to the tray edge instead of maintaining the specified step-in setback.
- • Marking holes while the channel is out of plumb.
Drill Tile and Insert Wall Plugs
Drill into the marked holes using a tile or masonry bit with hammer action switched OFF until you pierce the tile glaze. Insert wall anchors flush into the holes, tapping lightly with a rubber mallet if needed.
- • Clean, circular drill holes without cracked or chipped tile surfaces.
- • Wall plugs seated completely flush with the tiled wall surface.
- • Engaging hammer mode too early, causing the tile to crack or shatter.
- • Drilling at an angle instead of 90 degrees perpendicular to the wall.
Fasten Wall Profiles
Run a continuous bead of silicone down the rear channel of each profile where it touches the wall. Line up the profile over the wall plugs and drive the stainless steel screws securely using a manual screwdriver to avoid overtightening.
- • Profiles firmly clamped against the wall with no gaps.
- • Screw heads seated flush inside the profile track without stripping.
- • Using an impact driver which strips screw heads or distorts aluminum channels.
- • Omitting the rear sealant bead before screwing.
Install Fixed Glass Panels and Frame
Slide the fixed glass panels into the wall profiles and connect top and bottom horizontal rails according to enclosure type. Ensure the rubber gaskets or wedge seals are evenly seated along the glass edges.
- • Glass seated fully inside channel grooves with rubber seals flush.
- • Frame corner joints aligned square and tight with no open seams.
- • Forcing tempered glass edges against metal frames with metal tools.
- • Pinching or bunching rubber gaskets during insertion.
Hang and Adjust Shower Door
Mount the shower door into the frame using provided pivot hinges or top/bottom rollers. Adjust roller cams or hinge screws until the magnetic door seal closes tightly along the entire height with smooth travel.
- • Door closes smoothly with the full length of the magnetic seal snapping together uniformly.
- • Equal gap lines around the entire door perimeter.
- • Leaving the door misaligned, causing seals to gap at the top or bottom.
- • Over-tightening roller bracket screws, preventing smooth sliding.
Seal Exterior Perimeter with Silicone
Apply a neat, continuous bead of sanitary silicone along the OUTER edge where the frame meets the wall tiles and shower tray. Do not silicone the inside bottom edge, as trapped water must drain back into the tray.
- • Smooth, continuous silicone bead along all outside frame-to-wall and frame-to-tray joints.
- • Inside tray-to-bottom-frame joint left completely unsealed.
- • Silicone sealing the inside bottom track, which traps water inside frame channels and causes leaks.
- • Using the shower before silicone fully cures (minimum 24 hours).
